Jack turned 10 months old on March 29th. Three days later, on April 1st, he started crawling. It’s been so excited to watch him move all around the house. He really is into everything. He loves to head for the dog bowls, and when I start walking towards him to stop him from trying to eat the bowl, he just laughs and starts crawling faster.
He also likes to crawl and chase the dogs around while panting. It’s hilarious! He loves the dogs and laughs at them as soon as they walk into the room. Owen lets him poke, hit and crawl all over him. Mippy runs off as soon as he sees Jack coming. He likes him, but doesn’t want to be poked, pulled and hit.
Now he is trying to pull up. He can get up on his knees but not to a standing position quite yet. He pulls up in his crib, on the furniture, in the bath- everywhere! It’s adorable but I am constantly fearing he will fall. I’m trying not to be an overprotective mom.
He still does not have any teeth, but he loves to eat. He’s mastered the pincher grasp and loves picking up his own food to eat. He eats baby food, and gets small bites of whatever we are eating. Eating might be one of his favorite things.
He loves to play, and balls are his favorite. He really loves to play ball. He grabs balls, licks them, rolls them and chases after them, throws them…really his favorite toy.
Sleep is still inconsistent. He sleeps through the night 3-4 nights a week, and wakes up as 4 am the other nights. He usually goes back to sleep with a little rocking, maybe a bottle. I know- I should have broken this habit long ago, but somewhere along the way I missed the memo about weaning him off these night feedings and now we’re stuck. I’m working on it.
We are so in love with this little boy. We can watch him for hours- he is that entertaining. We laugh at his actions, his noises, his faces…we are so honored to be his parents and so enjoying watching him grow up!
